Important information regarding shipping to the EU
Dear customers,
Effective 12.08.2026, I unfortunately have to discontinue direct shipping to other European Union (EU) countries.
My shipping to all other countries outside the EU remains unaffected by this change and continues as usual.
Shipping within Germany also remains unchanged, of course.
Background to this decision
The reason for this step is the EU regulations on European packaging laws (LUCID/EPR).
These require separate registrations and fixed disposal license costs for every single EU country –
completely regardless of whether a package is actually shipped there or not.
For a small online shop like mine, these flat-rate fixed costs and administrative efforts are entirely out of economic proportion.
While large retailers can easily manage this effort, it is simply not feasible for me as a small business owner.
How you can still place an order with me
If you live in another EU country and would like to shop at Oberschick, fortunately, there are straightforward alternatives:
- Package forwarding services: Providers such as LogoiX or Mailboxde provide you with a German delivery address and securely forward the package to your address abroad.
- Private delivery: Alternatively, you can have the package sent to a delivery address of family or friends in Germany.
Note on the ordering process
Currently, only delivery addresses within Germany can be specified in the shop checkout if the destination is within the EU. The checkout can be used as usual for all other worldwide destinations. You can, of course, continue to provide your billing address worldwide.
I deeply regret this step and thank you very much for your understanding.
