About Eva Kumpmann
Eva Kumpmann (1920–2013) was an influential German ceramist of the postwar era. Trained under Paul Dresler and active in Thuringia, Austria, and Fredelsloh, she later founded her own workshop in Göttingen. From 1953 to 1986 she served as head of the potters’ guild in Lower Saxony, shaping the German studio pottery movement.
