Lockable oak casket dating from around 1920. The design reflects the transition from late Jugendstil into early Art Deco: simple geometric lines with refined details around the lock plate. Brass fittings with a beautiful patina and the original working key are included – a rare feature.
The box can be used in many ways: as a jewellery casket, letter box for personal or love letters, or as a small cash box. A fine decorative accent for Art Deco collectors, shabby chic settings, or loft interiors.
